Mr. Matthew Little Jr., 73, of Rockingham, died on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at his home. He was born on Jan. 27, 1937, in Richmond County, son of the late Matthew Little Sr. and Dezzie Brewington Little. He worked in Richmond County in construction and carpentry.

He is survived by two sons, Matthew T. Little of Portsmouth, Va. and Mitchell Little of Winston-Salem; three daughters, Myra Leak of Rockingham, Tracy Little of Rockingham and Marla Brown of Durham; three brothers, Connie Little and Lasander Little both of Rockingham, Benjamin Little of Halley, N.Y.; one sister, Deloris Little of Rockingham.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, from 1 - 7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Service, Rockingham.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dora R. Dorsey, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockingham.
