Mr. Billy Wilson Ussery, 71, of Rockingham died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at his home. He was born Dec. 24, 1938 in Richmond County, a son of the late Lillie and James B. Ussery.
Mr. Ussery was retired from Bell South. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 in the chapel of Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Sonny Diggs officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery.
Surviving are children, Billy Ussery of Cross, S.C, Danny Ussery and Timothy Ussery, both of Hamlet, and Deborah Ussery of Rockingham; stepchildren, Ernie Arnette of Rockingham and Paula Huff of Bennettsville, S.C.; sisters, Doris Thomas of Rockingham and Lillian White of Vass; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
