Sharon Rose Haigler of Rockingham and Jackie Norman Wallace Jr. of Hamlet were united in marriage Dec. 20, 2008 at McDonald Baptist Church in Rockingham with Rev. Bob Tyson officiating.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Doyle and Shirley Webb Haigler of Rockingham. She graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 1993 and went on to obtain an Administrative Office degree from Richmond Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is currently enrolled in the graduate program in Education and School Counseling at UNC Pembroke.

The groom is the son of Jack and Phyllis Stuart Wallace of Hoffman. He graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 1983 and attended Sandhills Community College for two years.

Sarah Helms of Rockingham was maid of honor. The groom’s father served as best man. Master Jerry Matthew Haigler of Rockingham was an honorary attendant of the groom.

The reception was held at McDonald Baptist Church fellowship hall. The couple took a wedding trip to Boone and will make their home in Richmond County upon their return.
