Four teenagers from Monroe have been arrested by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and Hamlet Police Department in connection with the theft of property from vehicles.
Erica Martinez, 16, of Monroe was charged by Hamlet police with five counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle and three counts of felony larceny. Her bond was set at $25,000.
Noe Apolina Ocampo, 18, of Monroe was also charged by Hamlet police with five counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle and three counts of felony larceny. His bond was set at $25,000.
A 15-year-old boy from Monroe was arrested on similar charges by Hamlet police and the sheriff’s department and released to juvenile authorities.
The sheriff’s office charged Ocampo with two felony counts of breaking and entering a vehicle, one count of felony larceny and one count of misdemeanor larceny.
Martinez was charged by the sheriff’s office with two felony counts of breaking and entering a vehicle, one county of felony larceny and one count of misdemeanor larceny.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested and charged another 15-year-old boy with felony breaking and entering a vehicle. He was released to juvenile authorities.
After a break-in of a vehicle on Pamela Lane, Ellerbe, a sheriff’s deputy stopped a car believed to be involved in the incident and found equipment stolen from the vehicle in the car along with four suspects.
Hamlet Police Department working with the sheriff’s office investigated incidents in their jurisdiction and issued arrest warrants on those involved.

In another incident, Niki Dantae Colson, 26, Mandela Lane, Rockingham, was arrested by deputies during a traffic checking station.
He was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon, and misdemeanor charges of simple possession of marijuana and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage.
His bond was set at $25,000. During the arrest, deputies seized eight grams of marijuana.

A water meter valued at $27 was stolen from property on Mary Wall Road, Rockingham.
Property valued at $1,650 was stolen from a residence on N.C. 381 South, Hamlet.
A television set valued at $800 was stolen from a house on Earl Franklin Drive, Dobbins Heights.
Property valued at $5,620 was stolen from a house on Stokes Road, Rockingham.
From a storage building on N.C. 38 South, Hamlet, someone stole $8,700 worth of property and $3,200 worth of golf clubs.
A dog valued at $1,000 was stolen from a house on U.S. 220, Norman.
A seat in a vehicle parked in a yard on Bear Branch Road, Rockingham, was burned causing $50 damage.
At a store on Main Street, Ellerbe, someone did $1,000 damage to two vending machines.
Two locks were cut on storage units on Wall Street, Ellerbe, causing $20 damage.
At a house on Homeward Drive, Hamlet, someone did $50 damage to a mailbox and $200 damage to a basketball goal and stole a basketball valued at $20.
At a construction site on Airport Road, Rockingham, someone stole $600 worth of welding machine leads.
Tools and other property valued at $660 were stolen from a storage building on Second Street, Ellerbe.
A door to a residence on Airport Road was broken causing $250 damage.
Jewelry valued at $800 was stolen from a house on Airport Road.
At a business on U.S. 1 North, Rockingham, someone did $300 damage to a door and stole $2,550 worth of property.
Someone shot at a vehicle parked at a residence on Knight Street, Hoffman, causing $700 damage.
On Craddock Circle, Hamlet, someone did $50 damage to a vehicle.
A brick was thrown through a window of a house on Crestway Drive, Rockingham, causing $550 damage.
