All things considered, Jeremey Teasley of Orient, Ohio had a pretty good first full season in the Mickey Thompson Performance Tires MiRock Superbike Series.

Teasley won the points champsionship in the Real Street division, and finished second in the Pro Street division.

Both those titles were decided before Teasley and his fellow competitors arrived in Rockingham for this past weekend’s Lee’s Performance Fall Bike Nationals at Rockingham Dragway.

So, one might think there wasn’t much to race for at The Rock on Saturday and Sunday.

Think again.

Teasley and his fellow racers are a competitive bunch. In between their official runs, they can be found lining up and waiting their turn for grudge runs.

Oh, and when there’s nothing to race for on the track — you can always race against the clock.

That’s what Teasley did on Sunday, breaking the Real Street record with a 7.836 run — topping the previous record —set earlier this season by Chip Ellis with a 7.837.

Ellis and Teasley have traded the record twice this season.

For Teasley, it was a good way to wrap up the season and start looking toward 2011. Teasley said he’s not sure yet what his 2011 plans are.
