Truck flips in Hamlet crash

Toler | Daily Journal A customized pickup truck rests on its top following a rollover wreck across from the State Employees Credit Union currently under construction in Hamlet on Monday afternoon. Eastbound traffic was temporarily blocked while the truck was pulled from the bushes in the median, flipped right-side-up and hauled off. Hamlet Police Chief Scott Waters said two people were injured in the single-vehicle wreck and taken to nearby Sandhills Regional Medical Center. One of the victims was later airlifted to a Charlotte hospital.
