A Rockingham lawyer has been arrested on drug charges after a detailed investigation by the Rockingham Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, according to a news release dated today from the Rockingham Police Department. John William Roebuck Jr., 42, was arrested on April 24 and charged with two counts of trafficking in opiates and one count of maintaining a dwelling for possession of narcotics, according to...

Perhaps you’ve driven down Oak Avenue in Hamlet when the azaleas are in bloom and seen the house with flowers that seem to blanket the property in color. Winnie and Wade Weatherly built their house in 1960, and Winnie Weatherly said each year they planted 25 azalea bushes.
