The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office recently made the following arrest: Cleveland Beauford Gainey, 50, of 7th Ave. Aleo, Rockingham, was arrested and charged with selling prescription medication on three different occasions. Meth bill passes State House
House Bill 29, short titled Methamphetamine/Offense/Penalties, passed the State House on Wednesday and moved on to be heard in the Senate on Thursday. The bill would make it a felony for any convicted meth cook to possess products containing pseudoephedrine, the key ingredient needed to make methamphetamine. Registration for Senior Games approaches
Registration for the Senior Games of Richmond County is Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Hamlet Senior Center. Registration continues until 5 p.m. on March 25. There is a registration fee of $11.
