A local author has signed a contract to sell her second book at Trinity Christian Store, located in Fayetteville. Bren Gandy-Wilson was born in Hamlet, and graduated from Monroe Avenue High School in Hamlet. Wilson, a retired teacher, taught Special Education at Rohanen Middle School. The Chamber’s 8th Annual Golf Scramble will be held at The Bluff Golf Course on Friday, May 10. This year’s golf committee is headed up by board member Rodger Moore of K2 Solutions Inc. Teaching teen drivers how to be Alive at 25
Traffic crashes are the most frequent cause of death for teenagers. Although they represent only 13 percent of all licensed drivers, teenage drivers contribute to 28 percent of all traffic crashes and 24 percent of all fatal car accidents, according to the National Safety Council.
