The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to be on the lookout for a man they are seeking in a kidnapping case.
That man is Charles Travis Watts, 30, a white male, 5’5” tall and 145 pounds, according to the Sheriff’s Office. His last known address was 102 W. Griffin St., Lilesville, N.C.
According to Sheriff’s Office Captain Jay Childers, Watts is wanted for three counts of first degree kidnapping and one count of first degree burglary. More charges are expected to be filed including assault on a female and child endangerment, Childers said.
The event occurred north of Rockingham around midnight on Jan. 15 or Jan. 16, according to Childers. As of Friday, no other details have been released.
Along with being wanted by the Sheriff’s Office, Watts is on federal probation out of South Carolina, said Childers.
Watts is known to carry some type of Taser and pepper spray, lawmen said.
