If your business is stagnating or you or your employees need motivation, a seminar to help those problems will be held on March 5.
Titled “Achieving Small Business Goals,” the seminar will be held at the Small Business Center at Richmond Community College from 6 to 9 p.m. at 600 McLean St. in Laurinburg.
The speaker, L. Diane Wolfe, will deliver focused training on what she calls the five keys to success; a positive attitude, people skills, self-esteem, overcoming fears, and setting smart business goals.
She will talk about the fear of rejection and success and how to overcome both. She said the fear of success can happen when a person moves into a position and fears they will fail because of the new responsibilities that are required of them.
The seminar is free and although registration is preferred, walk-ins are welcome.
Deborah Hardison, director of the Small Business Center, said that this seminar is about goal setting. The seminar will try “to help someone set small business goals and achieve them,” she said.
The seminar will also help anyone with goals in general. “It’s about setting business goals and any kind of personal goals,” Wolfe said.
“Anybody can come in and benefit from it,” she said.
According to her website, Wolfe is known as spunk on a stick and is a member of the National Speakers Association. Aside from her goal setting seminars, she also has seminars on book publishing and promoting, and helps writers through her author services.
Wolfe travels extensively for media interviews and speaking engagements, maintains websites and blogs and contributes to several other sites and newsletters.
