Gypsie Murdaugh will offer a seminar titled “Training Your Board of Directors For Success” at the Cole Auditorium on the Richmond Community College campus, Hamlet. The seminar will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 29.
Murdaugh, a former attorney and college administrator, has extensive experience serving as a board member and training others to be solid board members.
Some of the areas the seminar will cover are how to be effective as leaders of ‘for profit’ and non-profit organizations, how to work together for a common cause, how to promote the organization in the community and prepare to represent the organization positively to the owners and supporters, how to support the owners and executive directors and how to avoid personal liability.
The seminar will also be advantageous for administrative leaders of churches who are committed to working together to strengthen their effectiveness as community leaders.
