Learn the basics of getting your business up and running at a free seminar Monday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Richmond Community College Honeycutt Center in Laurinburg.

Steve Carver, a public speaker with over 40 year’s of business ownership experience, is the creator and presenter of 360 management and business presentations. He brings this workshop for entrepreneurs thinking about “Getting your Business Off to a Good Start” in 2013.

Carver has a wealth of experience and shares tips, methods, and work sheets outlining the basic do’s and don’t’s about starting a small business. If you are considering starting or buying a small business, you’ll find this seminar enlightening. Things are changing quickly in the business world.

Topics include choosing a business that suits your business skills, dreams and resources, business plan development, ‘tool belt’ of business skills, market research planning, creating advertising budgets, pit falls, naming the business, licenses and more. Time is allotted for open discussions and tips.
