To celebrate Black History Month, Barbara Stroman performed "In The Morning". A poem written by Paul Laurence Dunbar, the first African American poet to gain national recognition. Stroman, who has performed the poem in a number of churches and will perform it again on Sunday, is pictured at St. Peters in Hamlet. Stroman said she learned the poem over 40 years ago and it never completely left her memory.
