Mrs. Margaret C. Brown, 92, of Clayton died Saturday, February 16 at The Brian Center. She was born August 20, 1920 in Rockingham, NC, daughter of the late Alford Wesley and Mittie Emmer Thomas Criscoe. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Noah Daniel Brown, Sr., a daughter, Violet B. Barefoot, a brother, Richard G. Criscoe, and two sisters, Vera C. Thompson and Lillian C. Faulkenberry.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Vandora Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Garner.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 20 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church by Dr. Jerry Stephenson and Rev. Harry G. Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Noah D. Brown, Jr. and wife Sandra of Clayton and Rev. Harry G. Brown and wife Jean of Durham, one daughter, Jean B. Kittrell and husband Roy of Morehead City, 10 grandchildren, Jeanne Webb and husband Brinson, Buddy Kittrell, Chaundra Kittrell, Charlie D. Brown and wife Crissy, Dr. Andy Brown, Ronnie Barefoot and wife Ruth, Tony Barefoot, Joni Barefoot, Philip Brown and wife, Sherry and Wendy Brown, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Wednesday at 1:30 with funeral to follow at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 3000 E. Garner Road, Raleigh, NC 27610. Flowers will be accepted, however memorial donations may be made to Free Will Baptist Retirement Homes Ministry, PO Box 39, Ayden, NC 28513 or to Horton Road FWB Church, 1315 Horton Road, Durham, NC 27704.
