Dear Editor,
Now that the elections are over — for awhile — it is time for many people in Richmond County to develop new strategies.
Perhaps we could begin with a renewed attitude concerning education.
Peer pressure has got to change here in forming attitudes about achievement in school.
Far too many students fall by the wayside because of a lack of incentive from home and peer pressure in the community to focus elsewhere.
Many of our students can do better to achieve a better future.
Richmond Community College is lighting the way for our students to be trained for whatever future they desire.
The community as a whole might be able to do better to recognize the achievements of our students in schools to inspire them and those who doubt their efforts are worthwhile.
We have some amazing students in Richmond County. We just need more of them to be developed to their full potential.
