The Daily Journal office will be closed Christmas Day and on New Years Day, next Tuesday, to afford employees the opportunity to be with family.

The Richmond County Administrative Building will be closed for Christmas Day, as well as Wednesday and next Tuesday.

Hamlet City Hall will be closed Dec. 24-26 for Christmas. The week of Dec. 24, Tuesday/Wednesday residential trash and Monday’s commercial trash will be collected Thursday, Dec. 27. Thursday’s residential trash will be collected Friday, Dec. 28. For the week of Dec. 31, Tuesday’s residential trash will be collected Monday, Dec. 31.

The Town of Ellerbe’s office will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 to observe the Christmas holiday. Trash will be collected on Dec. 26 and 27.

All City of Rockingham offices will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Dec. 26 for Christmas. Monday/Thursday trash routes will be collected Thursday, and Tuesday/Friday routes will be collected on Friday. Street trash like leaves and limbs is not guaranteed pickup.

The Town of Dobbins Heights’ office will be closed Dec. 24-26 for Christmas. Trash routes will run on a normal schedule.

The Town of Hoffman’s offices will be closed Dec. 24-27. Trash routes will run on a normal schedule.

The Town of Norman will have no schedule changes for the holidays.

All Richmond County Schools will be closed from Dec. 19 until Jan. 2, 2013.

Richmond Community College will be closed Dec. 21-Jan. 2.

New Years Holiday

All City of Rockingham offices will be closed Jan. 1, 2013, to observe the New Years Holiday. Monday/Thursday trash route will be collected on Monday/Wednesday. Tuesday/Friday route will be collected Tuesday/Thursday.

The Town of Hamlet’s offices will be closed Jan. 1 to observe the New Years Holiday. For the week of Dec. 31, Tuesday’s residential trash will be collected Monday, Dec. 31.

The Town of Dobbins Heights offices will be closed Jan. 1.

The Town of Hoffman’s offices will resume a regular schedule for Jan. 1. Trash routes will run on a normal schedule.
