Hilda Conrad Slack,88, died Monday, October 15, 2012 at her home. She was born October 19, 1923 in Davidson County, a daughter of the late Clifton Dermont and Mary Elizabeth Miller Conrad.

Mrs. Slack graduated from Georgia Baptist College with degree in nursing. She was a registered nurse for Richmond County Schools and Richmond Memorial Hospital Home Health Agency. Hilda was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Circle #7.

She was preceded in death by her husband E.C. “Jake” Slack.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham with Rev. Mike Sykes and Rev. Allison Farrah officiating. Entombment will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Surviving, A daughter, Susan Slack Eason and husband Jerry of Supply. Grandchildren, James C. Eason and wife Grace of Rockingham and Jenny E. LaFave and husband Jeff of Rockingham. Great grandchildren, Jamey & Jacob Eason and Maddox & Mason LaFave. Also her grand dogs, Bailey and Roger.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers Laquanna, Glenda, Pamela and Richmond Co. Hospice Staff, Tammy, Shonda and Sinatras.

The family will receive friends Thursday following the service in the mausoleum at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.
