Fayetteville VA Medical Center welcomed Dr. Ruth M. Arnold as the new Primary Care Provider for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Hamlet on Tuesday.
Arnold is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Board Certified in Internal Medicine. In her new role at the Hamlet CBOC, she will be one of two Primary Care Providers serving approximately 1,200 veterans in Richmond and Montgomery Counties and surrounding areas.
Arnold will provide primary care for women’s health, heart disease, diabetes, chronic pain management and other medical and mental health services. As a Primary Care Provider, she will lead the second Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) ensuring continuity and access to health care for veterans enrolled at the Hamlet CBOC.
Prior to working for the VA, Arnold practiced internal medicine at the Mercy Medical Association Providence in Secane, Pa. Arnold is a co-author of the Journal of Herpetology and is a professional society member of the American Osteopathic Association, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, American College Osteopathic Internists and the American College of Physicians.
