Miss Gertrude Smith, 89, of Rockingham, died, Sunday, March 3, 2013, at The Hermitage Retirement Center.
Miss Smith was born May 18, 1923, in Dillon County, daughter of Miles Smith and Mary K McCormick Smith.
She attended First Baptist Church of Hamlet and was a homemaker.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm, at Riverside Cemetery, Dillon, SC, with Rev. Randy Bishop officiating. Burial will follow.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lura Dean Smith; and brothers, Grady, Robert, and Lonnie Smith.
Miss Smith is survived by her brother, Elliott “Smitty” Smith and wife Audrey of Red Springs; sister, Vergie S. Barrentine of Bennettsville, SC and sixteen nieces and nephews.
