Teachers and staff at East Rockingham Elementary School welcomed students and filled the halls with color during their Tacky Christmas Sweater Day recently. Principal Debbie Wrenn said the event helped to build a sense of community throughout the school, and that students were encouraged by the array of lights, ornaments and holiday cheer. The school later held a fashion show judged by custodians, and entertainment was provided by the school's teacher assistants.
