James Alford (Prince Hall 29th District Deputy Grand Master) and Jim Chambers (Master Rockingham 495) set the cornerstone.
The Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of North Carolina and the Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of North Carolina dedicated the cornerstone for the new Richmond County Courthouse in Rockingham on April 24.

They opened the first joint session of the two organizations at Rockingham Lodge 495 earlier that morning

Local Masons participated in the ceremony along with state Masonic dignitaries.
