An Ellerbe woman was arrested on charges in connection with identity theft, said Capt. J. K. Glidewell, Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Ashley Nicole Welch, 19, Capel Mill Road, Ellerbe, was arrested on felony charges of identity theft and obtaining property by false

pretense.

She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

The charges involve the use of a victim's bank account information to pay bills electronically in the amount of $273.

Incidents reported to the sheriff?s office include:

n Jewelry valued at over $550 was stolen from a house on Keith Avenue,

Cordova.

n Someone did $10 damage to a lock on an outbuilding on County Line

Road, Norman.

n At a house on Mizpah Road, Rockingham, $100 damage was done to a door.

n Damage of $200 was done with BB gun pellets at property on Fayetteville Street, Hamlet.

Incidents reported to the Rockingham Police Department include:

n Randall Hunt, 26, Bunker Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a warrant for arrest for failure to appear in court on charges of driving while license revoked and a seat belt violation. Bond was set at $200.

n Priscilla Yvone Tillman, 44, Breanner Lane, Rockingham, was issued a

citation for misdemeanor larceny.

n A store at Falling Creek Plaza Shopping Center, Rockingham, said $74 worth of items were stolen.

n Eric Kent Litaker, 44, Mount Gilead, was issued a citation on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and a seat belt violation.

Information on criminal activity may be reported anonymously to Richmond County Crime Stoppers at 997-5454. When leading to arrests,

rewards may be offered for such information.
