Heather Jane Wright of Rockingham and Bradley Dean Taylor of Rockingham were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Cobb Memorial Baptist Church in Rockingham. Minister Chuck McKnight officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Holly and Susan Wright of Rockingham. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Wilma Burgess of Bennettsville and Mrs. Raymelle Wright of Rockingham. Heather graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 2001. She attended Richmond Community College and received her degree from the School of Nursing in 2008. She is currently employed as an RN at FirstHealth of the Carolinas.

The groom is the son of Dean Taylor of Rockingham and Brenda Hendrix of Rockingham. He is the grandson of Mrs. Faye Boger of Rockingham. Brad graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 1992. He is currently working for CSX as a Diesel Locomotive Electrician.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Holly Wright. She wore an ivory strapless gown by Casablanca, designed with a delicate lace overlay accented with champagne stitching, seed pearls, and crystals. The A-line skirt flowed into a chapel length train. The hemline was adorned with a beaded scalloped lace border. Her elbow length veil was encircled with a scalloped champagne embroidery, also embellished with seed pearls and crystals. The bridal flowers consisted of white Eskimo roses and purple caspia with pieces of myrtle placed throughout. Crystals were entwined in the bouquet, which was then tied together with ivory ribbon.

Renee Huneycutt of Fuquay Varina, N.C., served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Tara Taylor of Rockingham, Lindsay Thomas of Charlotte, and Ashley Gardner of Morganton. During the ceremony, they wore a lightweight, shimmery satin dress with a soft contouring draping to the knee. The strapless dresses were lapis in color with a ruched waist and pockets.

Ally Taylor of Rockingham served as the flower girl. She wore a wide-strap tank bodice accented with a removable tie-back sash. The dress was tea-length and wisteria in color.

The groom chose Cam Taylor of Rockingham as his best man. Other ushers included Jay Jones, Dean Taylor, and Cameron Wright, all of Rockingham. Fisher Huneycutt of Fuquay Varina and Riley Taylor of Rockingham served as the ring bearers.

Pianist/vocalist Stanley McDonald of Laurinburg also participated in the ceremony.

The wedding reception was held in Cole Auditorium in Hamlet. The couple later left for a honeymoon trip in Hawaii, and now make their new home in Rockingham.
