Woman assaulted with a coffee can

A female resident on Tall Pines in Hamlet reported being assaulted with a coffee can after her boyfriend used the object as a weapon.

During an civil disagreement between the couple, the suspect in question used a coffee can as a projectile and struck the female victim on the head on Aug. 3.

No one was critically injured and no arrests were made.

Other incidents reported to the Hamlet police include:

n A gray Buick Skylark was stolen from a resident on High Street, Hamlet. The car is valued at $1500.

n A resident on Quail Hollow Drive, Hamlet, was assaulted after a confrontation.

n A local man lost his wallet at a local convenience store and after he returned, the wallet was missing. The wallet contained $320 cash, a credit card and his social security card.

n Car windows at an establishment in Hamlet were broken after someone threw a rock through them.

Someone stole electrical wire from underneath the home on Monroe Avenue.

n -Residents on Piney Point, Hamlet, were reported communicating threats.

n A charcoal grill on McLean Street, Hamlet, was stolen from a home. It was valued at $90.

n A resident on Buttercup Drive, Hamlet, lost a purse with $270 cash.

n A Tall Pines home was broken into after a sliding glass door, valued at $200, was broken.

n A vehicle on Terry Street, Hamlet was stolen from a driveway. The vehicle was later recovered on Stokes Road.

Arrests by the Hamlet police include:

-William Swinnie, 29, Old Gibson Road, Hamlet, was arrested for misdemeanor second-degree trespassing. His bond was set at $500.

n Barry Lovette Whitley, 47, Hamlet Lake Court, Hamlet, was arrested for misdemeanor larceny. He was released with a written promise to appear in court.

n Gregory Locklear, 46, Hamlet Avenue, Hamlet, was arrested for misdemeanor panhandling. Bond was set at $500.

n Rose Marie Maynor, 50, Hamlet Lake Court, Hamlet, was arrested for misdemeanor assault and battery.

n Kenneth James Harrington, 46, Spring Street, Hamlet, was arrested for misdemeanor larceny.

n Rogers Thomas, 20, Raleigh Street, Hamlet, was arrested for misdemeanor shoplifting.

n Zackary Jeff Register, 20, Bethel Church Road, Hamlet, was arrested for misdemeanor driving while impaired, misdemeanor Provisional Driving While Impaired and misdemeanor Failure to Stop. He was released with a written promise to appear in court.

Arrests by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office include:

n Harold Lee Williams, Jr., 32, Galestown Road, Rockingham, was arrested for felony Sell and Deliver of cocaine. He was released with a written promise to appear in court.

n Jeffrey Lynn Adcock, 38, Butler Circle, Cordova, was arrested for felony Obtaining Property By False Pretense. He was released with a written promise to appear in court.

n Ikeshia Eleanor McDonald, 30, Old Gibson Road, Hamlet, was arrested for felony Identity Theft, felony Obtaining Property By False Pretense and 20 counts of Larceny By Employee. Bond was set at $10,000.

n Steve Gibson, Jr., 29, Deep Hollow Drive, Raleigh, was arrested for misdemeanor Larceny and nine counts of felony Identity Theft. Bond has been set at $6,000.

n Gary Justin Furr, 19, Highway 220 North, Norman, was arrested on felony Manufacture of Marijuana and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released with a written promise to appear in court.

n Domonique Rashad Little, 19, Craig Street, Rockingham, Heath Antwane Flowers, 23, Mt Olive Church Road and Devon Shamar Love, 20, Judith Ann Avenue, were arrested for felony Possession with Intent to Distribute and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond for all three was set at $5,000.

n Clarence Evans Jackson, 55, Ridge Drive, Hamlet, was arrested for 14 counts of felony Obtaining Property By False Pretense and 14 counts of Larceny by Employee. He was released with a written promise.

n Keyon Curtis Edens, 21, Oak Avenue, Rockingham, was arrested for felony Breaking and Entering and felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering. Bond was set at $25,000.

n Gene Ricky Knight, Jr., 32, Whitney Lane, Rockingham, was arrested for two count of felony Larceny, felony Breaking and Entering and felon Larceny After Breaking and Entering. His bond is set at $50,000.

n Henry Allen Richardson, 30, Sandy Ridge Church Road, Rockingham, was arrested for felon Obtaining Property By False Pretense and misdemeanor Larceny. Bond was et at $500.

n Carlos Mossunte Butler, 33, 3rd Avenue Aleo, Rockingham, was arrested for felony Breaking and Entering and misdemeanor Larceny After Breaking and Entering. Bond was been set at $25,000.

n Braden Spears Bowers, 21, Pineland Drive, Hamlet, was arrested for felony Larceny of a Firearm. Bond has been set at $1,000.

n Leon Junior Locklear, 27, Dixie Drive, Red Springs and Donald Wilson Gibson III, 22, Shannon Road, Shannon, were arrested for felony Possession with Intent to Distribute. Bond was set at $10,000.
