Vivian Wright Gilliam, 84, of 1561 Old Cheraw Highway, Rockingham, died Thursday, July 5, 2012.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 10, at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church at 2 p.m.

A funeral will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Darrell Cook, Rev. Ray Cribb, and Rev. Benford Garrison officiating. Burial will follow at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Vivian was born Sept. 9, 1927, in Anson County, daughter of Daniel Robert Wright and Lillie Deese Wright. She was a cook with the public school system and a member of Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her late parents and husbands, Walter Garrison and Roy Gilliam.

Vivian is survived by her sons, Benford Garrison, Reid Garrison, and Jerry Garrison, all of Rockingham; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Gilliam family.
