At 12:09 p.m., Wes Burton rolled his No. 28 Chevrolet out his garage and onto the track at the Rockingham Speedway.
At that moment, the track's president Andy Hillenburg and fans across the country realized — NASCAR was back home in the Sandhills.
The Camping World Truck Series teams will return to the track for additional practice from 3:30 to 5 p.m. today.
