Mr. Truby Garrett Ricks, Jr., 59, of 112 Temple Avenue, Rockingham, died, Saturday, August 4, 2012, at The Hermitage, Rockingham.
He was born in Rockingham March 23, 1953, son of Truby G. Ricks, Sr. and Pinkey Chandler Ricks.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 19, 2012, at 2:00 pm at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Byrd officiating.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Dale Ricks and Larry Ricks.
He is survived by his sisters, Judy Akins of Rockingham and Donna Honeycutt of Hamlet; brothers, Danny Ricks, Sr. of Hamlet, Chris Hicks of Marshville and Mark Ricks of Asheboro; his loving companion and friend, Arlene Rasberry of the home; and her children, David Baucom II and Kristina Baucom.
Truby’s body was donated to Medical Education Research Institute in Memphis TN.; through Genesis Legacy.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119, N. Hwy 1, Rockingham, NC 28379
