The end of America as we know?

Dear Editor,

We have a big decision coming up this November which could potentially break this country to where there is no return if we make the wrong one.

Let’s take a look at all of the great accomplishments that Obama has done. Our national debt has increased by over five trillion dollars, gas prices have doubled, the unemployment rate is over eight percent, and we are looked worldwide, as a weak and impotent nation.

His solutions include higher taxes on job producers, pushing cleaner energy alternatives, and apologizing to countries that hate us. His excuse for all of our problems is of course, it was George Bush’s fault.

I plead with you with open minds to research more about this man and where he stands and make an intelligent choice based on facts and not media bias which definitely exists. They will do “anything” do get him back in office.

One more thing to ponder, how about when the DNC wanted to take God out of its platform? When they decided to reverse it literally half of the people booed. That is disgusting and scary. If we take God out of the equation that will be the last nail in the coffin.

Please consider voting Republican even if you have never done so before. Your vote may just be a part of giving us a chance to get our nation back.

Billy Moss

I will not be voting for the Communist Party in November. If you believe that everyone belongs to the government then re-elect President Obama.

JBee, I am truly sorry for calling you an idiot. I was taught to never call anyone an idiot that did not agree with me. I was responding to your comments about people in Charlotte that you do not know anything about and for this I am truly sorry. Have a nice and happy day.

Telltales,

I already knew that I was an idiot and a liar. I knew this because in the past, everyone who does not agree with you and does not latch onto your every word. That is what you call them. Judging by what you have told people in the past, nearly everyone that posts on here is either an idiot or a liar, or a few other words tha you may substitute with. But anyway have a wonderful day today.

JBee, You said either people in Charlotte were idiots or liars. All you need to do is look in the mirror to find the idiot and liar.

The price of gas across the South was near $3.95 in September, 2008. No one said President Bush jacked up the prices, unlike your fellow neo-cons, who blame President Obama for the high prices.

telltales, like all the other stuff you post, you dont read your own links you tell me to look up. If you read the headlines of hte link you told me to read you will see "NC gas prices sit high above the national average." This has nothing to do with national politics, but, as I said someone gouging. This is another example of how certain people affiliated with thier parties feel that everything can be blamed on Bush. I, hold true to no party, primarily because no party holds true to what they claim they stand for. Every politician receives money from lobbyist and big business, therefore that is who they are indebted too. Once you give Obama or Romney millions of dollars, then one of them may be concerned with you, until then, they could care less about taking care of anyone, unless they have millions in their hand. So please tell me again, how Bush jacked up the price of the gas in NC and that was the only state? According to your source.

JBee, Like all of the other stuff you post, you do not know what you are talking about. If you will google(gas prices in charlotte,nc for Oct. 4, 2008 you will be taken to WRAL.com) there you will find the real price of gas in charlotte and other areas of NC. This is another example of how the neo-cons lie so much they start to believe it.

What we have here is a revisionist history of gas prices, either by people who blindly believe the GOP propaganda, or are just willing lie about it to further their political agenda.

The fact is that the average price of gas was $4.11 per gallon in late July, 2008. Then, a little thing now known as the great recession happened. You remember Mr. Bush going on TV, and telling us that we must ignore all that free market rules stuff because we must immediately give the megabanks trillions of dollars to keep them from going broke, or else, the whole world economy would collapse.

Suddenly, there were huge layoffs everywhere. The law of supply and demand kicks in. Gas sales suddenly plummet, instantly causing an oversupply, causing the price to plummet during the last 2 months of the Bush era. Truth is a good thing.

If they were paying $3.955 a gallon for gas in October 2008 in Charlotte, then one of two things were happening.

1. The stations were gouging the prices and everyone in Charlotte are idiots.

2. Someone is telling a lie.

The Average cost of gas on October 27, 2008 accross the south was $2.69

Mr. Moss, You do not know what you are talking about. In Charlotte, NC I was paying $3.955 per gallon for gas in Oct.2008, guess who was president, it was not Obama. The unemployment rate is at 7.8%. The only way to avoid a total depression is to re-elect President Obama.

The price of gas fluctuated but under Bush it came down to 1.62. President Bush could just talk about drilling and it would come down, however, everytime he talked about drilling as he wanted to do, he was shot down by people like Pelosi and Reid. The unemployment could not possibly be 7.8% according to legitimate sources. The White house skewed it to suit their agenda.

This country is in the shape that it is in now due tothe tea party would rather see this country fall on its knees that support him as our president. You guys would rather see him fail as a president than see this country be the nation it was destined ti be, so sad! But I got good news for you when "PRESIDENT OBAMA" wins his second term he will veto everything and some things will get done! I wonder when President Bush messed this country up did you still vote for him!

What did the tea party do that caused the disaster that you speak of? I like specifics.
