You may have heard this story. I saw it online. A woman is tailgating the car in front of her, driven by a man. The man stops at a yellow light. The tailgating woman knows she could have beaten the red light, if only the man hadn’t stopped. She goes berserk: honking her horn, screaming swearwords, flipping him off. A police officer witnesses the whole thing and arrests the woman. She’s taken to the police department, fingerprinted and mug shot. The officer later apologizes to the woman for arresting her. It seems her car was emblazoned with a “What Would Jesus Do?” bumper sticker and a “Follow Me To Sunday School” bumper sticker. So when the officer saw her bumper stickers and her inconsistent actions, he assumed she’d stolen the car.
