PINEHURST — Ruby Helen Patrick, 79, of Pinehurst and formerly of Cordova, died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Quail Haven Village in Pinehurst. She was born December 5, 1932 in Columbus County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Luther and Martha Duncan Soles.
Mrs. Patrick retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of the Cordova Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed quilting. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Hoover Patrick on September 4, 2012 and a step- brother Paul Watson.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Cordova Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Monroe officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. A private graveside service will be held at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.
Surviving, Children, Teresa Price and husband Alec of Southern Pines, Butch Patrick and wife Kathy of Asheville, Debbie Patrick and husband Kevin Phillips of Holly Springs and Tiffaney Whitesides and husband John of Winston- Salem. Grandchildren, Scott Meacham, Andrew Patrick, Ellen Blackmon, Patrick Whitesides and Madison Whitesides. A brother, Smitty Soles of Hartsville, SC.
