Rockingham Police Department - arrests, complaints for May 12, 2012

The Rockingham Police Department recently arrested Lynell Crank, 47, 1500 E. Washington St., Rockingham, on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats. According to police, on April 27, a victim notified officers that he had been walking down East Washington Street when he heard Crank call his name. Crank allegedly threatened to hit the victim with an oak stick before going into his residence and emerging with a handgun. Crank then began to wave the gun in the victim’s face, reports said, and demanded the victim’s money. Officers obtained warrants on Crank for armed robbery, assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats. He was placed under a secure bond of $2,500.

Other recent arrests reported by the Rockingham Police Department:

• Savannah Anne Locklear, 21, 107 Henry Drive, Rockingham, was arrested for assault by strangulation and assault with a deadly weapon, and was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $5,000.

• Hubert Fletcher Staton Jr., 24, 212 Hood St., Rockingham, was arrested for assault by pointing a gun. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

• Jason Donnell McDonald, 30, 234 S. Long Drive, Rockingham, was arrested for failure to appear – possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. He was placed under a secure bond in the amount of $500.

• Joshua Hunter McInnis, 24, 182 Duncan’s Road, Ellerbe, was arrested for failure to appear. He was placed under a $500 secure bond.

• Marcus Lavelle Jones, 26, 265 Earl Franklin Drive, Hamlet, was arrested for failure to appear - driving without license/registration – speeding.

• Antoine Darelle Ingram, 32, 106 S. Stewart St., Rockingham, was arrested for failure to appear. He was placed under a secure bond of $100.

• Brandon Keith Phifer, 25, 128 Broad Leaf Drive, Hamlet, was arrested for second degree trespassing. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

• Yvonda Jean Lewis, 27, 1211 N. Hwy 177, Marston, was arrested for larceny and resisting a public official. She was placed under a $1,000 secure bond.

• Ronnie Eugene Mauldin, 53, 136 Safie 6th St., Rockingham, was arrested for communicating threats. He was placed under a $1,000 secure bond.

• Michael Anthony Allen, 26, 141 Kristy Lane, Rockingham, was arrested for assault on a female. He was placed under a $3,000 secure bond.

• Second degree trespassing, breaking and entering and simple assault were reported at a residence on Midway Road.

• Fraud was reported at a motel on South Hancock Street.

• Larceny was reported at a gas station on East Broad Avenue.

• Larceny was reported at a business on East Broad Avenue.

• Misdemeanor larceny was reported at a residence on Green Ridge Drive.

• Simple assault was reported at a school on Leak Street.

• Breaking and entering, larceny and damage to real property were reported at a residence on Armstead Street.

• Injury to personal property, assault on a female and damage to property were reported at an apartment complex on Pickett Street.

• Breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported at a business on East Broad Avenue.

• First degree trespassing was reported at a business on Short Street.

• Breaking and entering and felony larceny were reported at a residence on Armstead Street.

• Possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported in a roadway at Washington Street and Long Drive.

• Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on Highway 74.

• Public consumption was reported at a gas station on South Hancock Street.

• Larceny of medication was reported at a motel on East Broad Avenue.

• Damage to property and larceny of copper were reported at a church on Midway Road.

• Assault with a deadly weapon was reported at a residence on North Grove Avenue.

The Daily Journal lists them all as arrests. People charged are presumed innocent until determined to be guilty by a court of law.
