The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested Malcolm Raheim Blue, 42, Robinson St., Ellerbe, on charges of possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Blue was arrested on July 11, 2012, for possession of marijuana that was packaged for sale. Police said Blue was a suspect in a shoplifting case when deputies stopped him. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Bryan Eugene Miller, 24, Luther St., Rockingham, was arrested for breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and obtaining property by false pretenses. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Miller on July 6, 2012, for allegedly breaking into a residence on Luther Street and removing several electronic items. The items were later recovered and Miller was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $25,000 secure bond.

In an unrelated case, Michael Anthony Foss, 43, Green Cedar Lane, Hamlet, was arrested on two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering and two counts of injury to real property. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Foss on July 13, 2012, for allegedly breaking into a industrial plant on Freeman Mill Road and removing copper wire and scrap metal. Foss was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $5,000 secure bond.

Steven Allen Polson, 26, Miracle Lane, Hamlet, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on charges of felony larceny, possession of stolen property and obtaining property by false pretenses. Polson was arrested on July 11, 2012, for removing a motorcycle valued at $1,300 from a yard without permission and selling it to someone else, police said. Polson was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $20,000 secure bond.

Larry Ray Almond, 28, Battley Dairy Road, Hamlet, was arrested for obtaining property by false pretenses, identity theft and financial card theft. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Almond on July 26, 2012, for allegedly taking a victim’s debit card and using it to withdraw $200 from the account without permission. Almond was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $10,000 secure bond.

Brandon Jaquan Jones, 24, Washington Avenue, Hamlet, was arrested on charges of felony larceny of a dog and possession of stolen goods. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Jones on July 19, 2012, for taking the victim’s dog from his yard on Jones-McGee Street, lawmen said. Jones was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $1,000 secure bond.
