The Richmond County Republican Party will be holding its next monthly meeting Tuesday, at the Ichiban Buffet on Highway 74. This is the old “Golden Corral.”
They will eat from the buffet at regular menu price starting at 6:30 pm. The meeting will begin at 7 pm. They will be having Dan Forest, candidate for Lt. Governor, who is in a “run-off” election on July 17.
“Voter turnout is important for a candidate to win as there is normally very low turnout for a ‘run-off,’ said Richmond County GOP Chair Joshua Austin.
Also, the Richmond County Republican Party Executive Committee has recently opened a campaign headquarters at 130 E. Washington St. This is the old W.H. Parker Insurance building located by Harrington Square in Rockingham.
“Once we get settled in, we will announce a ‘Grand Opening,’” said Austin. “Between now and then, feel free to stop by and say hello. We need your support to be able to make our headquarters work for our candidates. We will need financial backing, volunteers to staff the headquarters, furniture and many other things. If you can help, please contact myself or any Executive Committee member to find out how.”
If you would like to make a donation to support their cause, the address is Richmond County Republican Party, Tony Martin, Treasurer, 2206 Fayetteville Road, Rockingham, NC 28379.
“Please remember we can only take personal checks made out to R.C. GOP,” said Austin. “We will also need your occupation/employer information to satisfy campaign finance laws. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to contact us.”
