Reecie Faye Williams Martin, 72, of Rockingham, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, December 10, 2012.

Mrs. Martin was born December 30, 1939 in Richmond County, a daughter of Odessa Lee Goodwin Williams and the late James Evander Williams. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, had attended Kings Gate Church and had retired from Fox Yarns. She was an honors graduate of Rohanen High School.

Surviving are her sons, Ken Shipley and wife Donna of Pinebluff, Kevin Grooms of Charlotte, Keith Grooms of the home; her daughter, Kelly G. Luce and husband Robert of Prairieville, LA; grandchildren, Brooke S. Walters and husband Daniel, Holly S. Patterson, Robert J. Luce. Jr; great-grandchildren, Cole Patterson, Connor Patterson, Emmalynn Walters; her mother, Odessa Williams of the home and sisters, Hollie Watts of Rockingham, Opal “Bit” Parnell of Salisbury.

A service to celebrate Mrs. Martins life will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Steve Gilmer and Apostle Eddie McLean officiating. Interment will be held privately.

The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the Church of God of Prophecy and at other times at the home, 267 Church St. Rockingham.
