Dear Editor,

Why do people that appear to be good and honest change when they get into politics, and not for the better, whether it is a local town, small one, large one, state or D. C.? Why do the now President and his opponent want to spend all this money to talk negative about each other? With the education they have they are not using common sense. We know what these two men have done in the past. We want to know what their plans are for the future, to help the economy, cut the deficit, get people back to work. But you cannot believe what they say. Why?

Back when Obama was running for President, he said he was going to help the old and middle class people and the retirees with their taxes. I’m retired and in the upper, upper old class of age. So I voted for him but that was a mistake. Why? Starting with April of 2009 through December, they stopped taking out Federal tax on my little pension, that was great. But when I went to file 2009 taxes, my CPA told me I had to go back and pay Federal taxes for April through December. That hurt me, so that’s why you cannot believe politicians. In 2010, my taxes went up a little from 2009. But, in 2011 taxes almost doubled. Obama should be ashamed to mention anything about his opponents and taxes.

Don’t Obama know that all these plane trips he, his Vice President, and wife are taking to make negative speeches, the tax people are paying for the expense, it is not helping the economy or the deficit?

This country is in very bad need of help. Just look at what the very young ones are facing. It appears we don’t have anyone in this country to lead us in the right way. Why?
