Police look into assaults, threats

Officers at the Rockingham Police Department have been investigating nine recent cases involving assaults and communication of threats among residents.

Charlie Owens, 46, Rogison Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of communicating threats.

He was held in Richmond County Jail until a judge set bond.

Crystal Stubbs Quick, 34, Cauthen Drive, Rockingham, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of simple assault, communicating threats, assault with a deadly weapon and injury to personal property. Bond was set at $2,000.

Brian Scott Quick, 37, Cauthen Drive, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery. Bond was set at $500.

Danny Strong, 31, Third Street, Hamlet, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of assault on a female. Bond was set at $1,000.

Dwight Junior Morgan, 29, Cauthen Drive, was arrested on a felony charge of domestic assault on a female and misdemeanor trespassing.

He was held in Richmond County Jail until a judge set bond.

Angela Clark, 53, Brookfield Road, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Rosalyn Crawford, 41, Short Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. Bond was set at $500.

Ricky Eugene Thomas, 27, Susan Road, Hamlet, was arrested on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Bond was set at $10,000.

Brian Keith Gerald, 36, Brookfield Road, Rockingham, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Other arrests include:

n Erika Michelle Covington, 35, Bunker Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of hit and run. Bond was set at $1,000.

n Ancelmo Del Angel Medina Cruz, 28, Battley Dairy Road, Rockingham, was issued citation on a misdemeanor charge of larceny.

n April Tyler Del Angel Medina, 29, Battley Dairy Road, was issued a citation on a misdemeanor charge of larceny.

n Jennifer Gillespie, 29, Great Falls Circle, Rockingham, was arrested on a felony charge of obtaining property by false pretense, and a misdemeanor charge of larceny.

n Maggie Terisa Robinson, 30, Motlow Lane, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of secreting lien property. Bond was set at $1,000.

n Larry Wayne Talley, 30, Arbor Road, Rockingham, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and resisting, obstructing and delaying an arrest. Bond was set at $500.

n Brian Keith Gerald, 36, Brookfield Road, Rockingham, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct, discharging a firearm in the city and injury to personal property. Bond was set at $3,000.

n Daniel Franklin Gerald Sr., Brookfield Road, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of resisting, delaying and obstructing an arrest.

n Ian Robert Thacker, 26, South Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of larceny. Bond was set at $500.

n Sammy Dale Parrish, 31, Wilson Street, Rockingham, was issued a citation on a charge of simple possession of marijuana.

n Cedric Antonio Bell, 22, Montclair Avenue, Rockingham, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of no operator’s license; and resisting, delaying and obstructing an arrest. Bond was set at $500.

n Lee Curtis Stanton Jr., 50, Bennettsville, S.C., was issued a citation on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.

n Donnell Lamont Brooks, 30, Pine Street, Hamlet, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespass. He was held in Richmond County Jail until a judge set bond.

n Greg Keith Locklear, 46, West Hamlet Avenue, Hamlet, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespass. Bond was set at $100.

n Thomas Anthony Nelson, 23, Virginia Street, Hamlet, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while license revoked. Bond was set at $500.

Incidents reported to Rockingham police:

n A Rockingham woman told police she had given people she met in a grocery store $1,500 in a scheme to share $15,000 one of them “found.”

n At a business on South Long Drive, Rockingham, $300 was stolen.

n A woman walking along South Long Drive said at Oak Street, told police someone came from behind and snatched her purse for a loss of $210.

n A Rockingham man told police someone used his debit card information without his permission charging $599.73 to his account.

n A store at Falling Creek Plaza Shopping Center, Rockingham, reported suspects stole $49.24 worth of items.

n On Curtis Drive, Rockingham, someone stole over $30,000 worth of jewelry from a house and a computer valued at $1,000.

n Someone broke into a vehicle on Pickett Street, Rockingham, and stole $190 worth of personal property.

n A resident on Westwood Drive, Rockingham, told police someone has been stealing mail.

n A brick was thrown at a vehicle parked on JFK Drive, Rockingham, causing $100 damage, and $20 worth of property was stolen.

n On Hawthorne Avenue, Rockingham, someone did $200 damage to a door and stole a $60 microwave.

n At an apartment on Cauthen Drive, Rockingham, someone did $500 damage to a sheet rock wall.

n A window of a vehicle in a parking lot on Lee Street, Rockingham, was broken causing $100 damage.

Information on criminal activity may be reported anonymously to Richmond County Crime Stoppers at 997-5454. When leading to arrests, rewards may be offered for such information.
