Phyllis was born December 18, 1934 in Richmond County, daughter of John and Mattie Lee McCaskill.
She along with her late husband, Bobby, worked 40 plus years at Marks Funeral Home, Rockingham, and she continued to do so until two years ago. Mrs. Lammonds was always ready to lend a hand to each family, no matter in what capacity. She enjoyed playing the piano, was very witty and a master seamstress. She was exceptional in many areas. Phyllis loved her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday. October 22, 2012 at Harrington Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 PM and at other times the family will receive friends at the Lammonds home.
The Funeral will follow, in the Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Leon Hawks and Rev. Chris Hawks officiating. Burial will follow at East Side Cemetery, Rockingham.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Bobby Lammonds; her only sister, Lenore Kester; niece, Melissa Kester; and a nephew Joe Kester.
Survivors include her four daughters, Pamela Harwood-Bedwell of Macon, GA, Susan L. Perkins (Bob) of Rockingham, Ann L. DePrizio (Mike) of Rockingham and Kelly Parks (Bo) of Supply; grandchildren, Amanda Mullins (Joe), Heath Parks (Echo), all of Rockingham, Michael Hardwood of Savannah, GA., Stephanie DePrizio of Hamlet and Kayla DePrizio of Wilmington; great-grandchildren, Joshua Black, Savanna Mullins, Elijah Parks and Annabelle Parks and nephew John Kester and family.
