Peggy Marie Bowman Hough, 79, of Ellerbe, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at her son’s home.

Mrs. Hough was born February 14, 1933 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Elgie and Mae Newman Bowman. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Ellerbe, had worked in textiles and had worked with the Ellerbe Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. Hough, a son Larry Hough and a grandson, Joe Davis Hough, Jr.

Surviving are her sons, Joe D. Hough ( Dianne) of Ellerbe, Robert Hough of Ellerbe, Albert Hough, Jr. ( Connie Hill) of Holly Springs; daughters, Kathy Saunders ( Billy Ray) of Morven, Sona Harrison ( Mark ) of Fayetteville; seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Norman Cemetery.

The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
