FirstHealth Community Health Services is partnering with the Richmond County Cooperative Extension to bring a free PLAY program to community members.
PLAY (People Living Active Year-round) is a health and behavior changing program, designed to help individuals add more physical activity to their daily lives.
The six week program provides the motivation, tools and support to get you up and moving.
PLAY mixes physical activities, like jumping rope, hula hooping, Frisbee and resistance band workouts. Participants get to keep the activity equipment used during each session.
The first PLAY session begins today, at the Cooperative Extension office, located at 123 Caroline St. in Rockingham.
Sessions will be offered every Thursday from May 17 until June 28, from 12 to 1:30 p.m.
To register, contact Sarah Mammarella at 910-997-8255 to register.
