He was born February 12, 1934, in Richmond County, son of Shug Honeycutt and Sadie Hyatt Honeycutt.
Mr. Honeycutt was a retired heavy equipment operator and was a Veteran of US Army, serving during the Korean War.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home in Hamlet.
Funeral Services will be Monday, April 27, 2009 at 2 p.m.. at Outreach for Jesus, with Bishop Marvin Taylor and Rev. June Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham, NC
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jerry Honeycutt; four brothers, Tim, Jerry, James and Will Honeycutt; and one sister, Dorothy Lisk.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Prudy Gatts Honeycutt of the home; daughter, Joyce Honeycutt of Wallace, SC; brother, Tommy Honeycutt of Monroe, LA; sisters, Frances Keziah of Wilmington, NC and Tiny Parker of Cordova; and three grandchildren, Jerry Taylor of Cordova, Jonathan Honeycutt of the home and Jessie Honeycutt of the home.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Honeycutt Family.
