Kelsey McDonald of Ellerbe graduated from North Carolina State University on May 12, 2012.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology along with a Minor in Nutrition Sciences. She completed the requirements to graduate with honors from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Honors Program. She was also active in Alpha Phi Omega Service fraternity, Phi Eta Sigma honors fraternity and was an officer in Alpha Zeta honors agriculture fraternity where she was voted most outstanding senior.
She will be continuing her education at Winston-Salem State University in January where she was accepted into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Kelsey is the daughter of Keith and Belinda McDonald of Ellerbe. She is the granddaughter of Peggy Carter, Phyllis Lassiter and James Moree, all of Rockingham; and the great granddaughter of Opal Berryman of Rockingham.
