Livie Diane Britt Hester, age 51, of Lumberton, died on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Robeson County on Sept. 25, 1959 to Paul Britt, Jr. and Annie Neal Britt. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Hester Sr. and her mother, Annie Neal Britt.

Mrs. Hester is survived by her son, James Walter Hester, Jr. and wife, Crystal of Hamlet; her daughter, Lisa Hester Nuttall and husband, Robert of Rockingham; her father, Paul Britt, Jr. of Lumberton; four sisters, Paulette Collins of Wilmington, Carlene Britt, Mary Lee Carver and Rose Abrams all of Lumberton; and five grandchildren, Madison Hester, Dalton Nuttall, Alissa Nuttall, Kelsey Greene and Dustin Williams.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. George Lashley and Rev. Tim Holden officiating. Visitation will follow the funeral service.
