Jesse Willard “Buck” Grooms Jr., 68, of 114 John Road, Rockingham, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mike Price officiating.
At other times the family will be meeting at the home of his sister Peggy, 485 Midway Road, Rockingham.
He was born Dec. 15, 1943, in Richmond County, son of Jesse W. Grooms Sr. and Audrey Moss Grooms. Grooms previously worked for Buford’s Tree Company. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Grooms ; and sister, Myrtha Witchard.
Survivors are his two sisters, Peggy Airington and Kim Campbell both of Rockingham.
Harrington Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the Grooms family.
