Mr. Francis Sylvester “Frank” Hudson, 67, of Lancaster, S.C., passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at his home. He was born February 17, 1945 in Lancaster, a son of the late James Franklin Hudson and Stella Plyler Hudson. Mr. Hudson was employed by General Tire for 33 years. He served our country in the Navy in Vietnam aboard the USS Oklahoma City. During his spare time he enjoyed yard work and golfing.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hudson will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 2 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Huey Mills and Rev. Larry Helm officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife Myra Benton Hudson of Lancaster; one son, James David Hudson and his wife Jane of Lancaster; one daughter, Kelly Hudson Crenshaw and her husband Brown of Lancaster; three brothers, Franklin Leroy Hudson of Lancaster, Billy Ray Hudson and his wife Jo Ann of Kershaw and Mark Dwayne Hudson and his wife Lisa of Lancaster; one sister, Barbara Hudson Farias of Lancaster; seven grandchildren, Jessica Hudson Miller and her husband Seth, Jamiee Leneé Hudson, Jacob David Hudson, Ezra Brown “Trey” Crenshaw, III, Seth Hudson Crenshaw, Abbiegale Grace Hudson and Chloe Faith Crenshaw; and one great-grandchild, Landon Martin Miller. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Hudson and a niece, Candie Farias.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
