Karen Smith Fields and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Bruce Fields announce the engagement of their daughter, Hayley Melissa Fields to Jesse Carlton “Chip” Gordon III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Carlton Gordon.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Richmond Senior High School and the University of North Carolina - Wilmington where she earned a degree in English. She is currently pursuing her masters in Instructional Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Hayley is presently employed with Richmond County Schools at Hamlet Middle School as a language arts teacher.
Chip is a graduate of Richmond Senior High School and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he earned a degree in Mathematics. He is currently employed with Richmond County Schools at Rohanen Middle School as a math teacher and as an assistant baseball coach at Richmond Senior High School.
An Oct. 6, 2012, wedding is planned at Cypress Bend Vineyard in Wagram.
