Chasity Starling Evans and Dorien Arlando Harrington, both of Rockingham, together with their parents, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. The couple will exchange vows on Aug. 6, 2011, at 1 p.m., at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Hamlet.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Bonnie King Evans of Winston-Salem and Larry Wayne Evans of Hamlet. She is the granddaughter of Bonnie Lou King of Winston-Salem and Lois Evans of East Bend.
She is a 2004 graduate of Richmond Senior High School, a 2008 graduate of Columbia College in Columbia S.C. and is currently enrolled in the nursing program at Richmond Community College in Hamlet. She is employed at Pinehurst Women’s Clinic in Rockingham.
The groom-elect is the son of Tonya Whitt-Harrington of Rockingham and Wiley Henry Harrington Jr. of Florida. He is the grandson of Shirley Hagans Whitt and James C. Whitt, both of Hamlet, and Wiley Henry Harrington Sr. of Rockingham.
He is a 2000 graduate of Richmond Senior High School. He is currently employed as a Service Adviser at Champion Ford in Rockingham.
