Do you always speak before you listen?

Dear Editor,

Mishle/proverbs 18:12-13: “…He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him.”

Did you know that! (Wow, that’s hard) Do you always speak before you listen or do you just sometimes speak before you listen? Or do you just speak without listening or doing any research of your own.

Been there done that, haven’t we all.

Let’s all resolve to listen to one another without interrupting. Doesn’t it just get your dander up when people interrupt while you are speaking. Most people don’t like it when they are interrupted when they are speaking, but yet, they will be the first to interrupt you when you are speaking.

1 Corinthians 14:22-33 (verse 26): “What then is it, brothers? Whenever you come together, each one has a psalm, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation {see 2 Peter 1:20-21}…”).

Does your church follow this Scripture? Many will not even give you the opportunity to speak or will interrupt and speak before they listen. They can’t preach 2 doctrines so they choose to preach their denominational doctrine and not our Creator’s doctrine (teaching).

Yohanan/John 7:16-18: “Yahushua answered them and said, My teaching is not mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone desires to do His desire (will), he shall know concerning the teaching, whether it is from Elohim, or whether I speak from Myself. He who speaks from himself is seeking his own esteem, but He who seeks the esteem of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.”

Consider the restoration of His Name, His Son’s Name, His Sabbath, His commands, and His festivals (Feasts). Begin studying “all” of the Scriptures for yourselves. Do not rely on man‘s teachings, beliefs, practices that are not based entirely on Scriptures (Matthew 15:7-9), as if you are not smart enough to read, study, and understand for yourself.

Selah and Shalom, brothers and sisters.
