Three Richmond County men were arrested by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated drug charges, according to reports from the Sheriff’s Office.
The charges against the three men ranged from the manufacture of marijuana to felony possession of marijuana to maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.
n Patrick Lee Scott, 25, 7th Avenue Aleo, Rockingham, was arrested for felony manufacturing of marijuana.
Scott was in possession of two marijuana plants, valued at approximately $200, according to reports.
He was released with a written promise to appear in court.
n William Branch II, 39, Lowery Lane, Rockingham, was arrested for felony manufacturing marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and felony maintaining a drug dwelling.
When arrested, Branch possessed over three-quarters of a pound of marijuana, baggies and small hand scales in his home, according to reports from the Sheriff’s Office.
He was released with a written promise to appear in court.
n Andrew Dale Strickland, 24, Old Cheraw Highway, Rockingham, was arrested for felony manufacturing marijuana, felony maintaining a drug dwelling and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Strickland had been growing marijuana in his home and was also in possession of a smoking pipe, digital scales and a grinder, according to reports.
His bond was set at $5,000.
Arrests reported by the Hamlet Police Department include:
n Kwame Jackson, 17, A Piper Court, Wingate, was arrested for misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was released with a written promise to appear in court.
n William Chandler Overcash, 16, Henderson Street, was arrested for misdemeanor communicating threats.
n Judy Mae McKinnon, 33, Spring Street, Hamlet, was arrested for two counts of failure to appear. Her bond was set at $200.
n Brantley Vester Douglas III, Dogwood Lane, Hamlet, was arrested for two counts of failure to appear. Her bond was set at $500.
n Brian Steven Myers, 28, Oak Avenue, Hamlet, was arrested for misdemeanor assault on a female.
n Bobby Leo Watkins, 46, Pine Street, was arrested for misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun at someone. He was released with a written promise to appear in court.
n Emmanuel Campos Reyes, 24, Palm Street, Hamlet, was arrested for failure to appear and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $1,500.
n Billy Ray Beaman Jr., 46, Gibbons Street, Hamlet, was arrested for injury to real property and misdemeanor breaking and entering.
Incidents reported by the Hamlet Police Department include:
n Someone on Oakdale Avenue reported that an individual discharged a firearm on their property, hitting their home. Damage to the home is estimated at $3,100.
n A vehicle owner on Pine Street reported that someone threw white paint onto their truck. Damage to the paint is valued at $1,500.
n There was an attempted larceny at a business on Hamlet Avenue when a woman tried to steal steaks. The woman left the steaks in the store and left. Police could not find the woman.
n Someone on Hamlet Lake Court reported a person throwing empty beer bottles at their home after an altercation, breaking a window.
n A woman was found dead in her home on Hendersonville Road after her husband returned home from work. She had prior health issues and foul play is not currently suspected, according to reports.
n A Hamlet man reported identity theft after someone unknown to him obtained his Social Security number, driver license and name.
