The Hamlet Tree and Beautification Group chose this Deodar Cedar as the December 2012, Tree of the Month. This tree was purchased by the Tree Group and planted by the Monroe Avenue School Conservation Rangers in 2004. It has silvery gray foliage with needles one to two inches long, down swept branches and a drooping tip. It will grow 75 to 100 feet tall. Pictured are Mat Gordon, assistant County Ranger, Tree Group Board members, Nancy Norton, Gerry Culler and Sheila Sellers.
